Women's Soccer Ready to Take On Temple

ORLANDO – Following an 18-day break without a match, the UCF women's soccer team will face off against American Athletic Conference foe Temple in Philadelphia on Thursday. The match will kick off at 7 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+.

The Knights (2-2-4) recorded a 2-2 draw against Texas in their most recent match on Sept. 18. Temple (1-5-4) defeated Long Island University 5-0 for its first win of the season its last outing.

In conference play, the Knights earned a scoreless tie in Memphis, while Temple lost to Tulsa and SMU, with a score of 1-0 in each game.

Coming into the match, both teams are looking to accomplish a first for the season. The Black and Gold are looking for their first road win this season, while Temple has never beaten UCF. The Knights currently lead the Owls in the all-time series, 10-0, with last year's matchup resulting in a 5-0 Knights win in Orlando.

Kristen Scott, the Knights leader in points, has missed the last few matchups. Dayana Martin, who is second in points, scored a goal against Texas in UCF's last match. Meanwhile, Caroline DeLisle has been an elite goalkeeper this year, recording 33 saves for an .805 save percentage.

The Knights are averaging 1.38 goals per game as a team this season and are allowing just one goal a game.
