T.J. Mutcherson Season 2016

SENIOR (2016)
• Played in and started all 13 games as a senior
• Fourth on the team with 73 total tackles, including 42 solo
• Had 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, two pass break-ups and one forced fumble.
• Michigan 9/10: Recorded three tackles for loss and one sack
• East Carolina 10/1: Forced a fumble and intercepted a pass
• Temple 10/15: Tied a career high with 10 tackles and an interception
• UConn 10/22: Recorded nine tackles and one pass break-up
• Tulane 11/5: Finished with eight tackles and a pass break-up

JUNIOR (2015)
• Started three games at strong safety and played in nine games overall
• Closed the year with 31 tackles with four tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, two break-ups and three fumble recoveries
• Stanford 9/12: Came through with four tackles in UCF debut
• South Carolina 9/26: Recovered a fumble
• UConn 10/10: Had three tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss
• Temple 10/17: Boasted seven tackles with one for a loss, as well as a break-up, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries
• Houston 10/24: Racked up 10 tackles with 1.5 for loss, one sack and a break-up
• Cincinnati 10/31: Completed the day with six tackles

PRIOR TO UCF
• Suited up for Iowa State from 2012-14
• Earned a redshirt in 2012 before playing in eight games and posting two tackles in 2013
• Started 10 games as a redshirt sophomore, finishing second on the team with 76 tackles
• Also had 2.0 tackles for loss and a forced fumble while notching two interceptions

HIGH SCHOOL
• Starred at Freedom High School for coach James Harrell
• As a senior, hauled in 34 receptions for 736 yards and six touchdowns, and completed the year on defense with 74 tackles and four picks
• As a returner, had nine kick returns for 331 yards and two scores
• Named a 2009 Tampa Tribune All-Hillsborough County Second Team kick returner
• Also on the 2009 All-Western Conference National Division First Team
