ORLANDO, Fla. – UCF Athletics is proud to announce a $1 million commitment from UCF alumnus and longtime supporter Sean Hayes to UCF Athletics and its Competitive Success Fund. The pledge was inspired by the recent major commitment from Scott and Ashley Frost and the Knights’ growth and transition into the Big 12 Conference.

A proud Knight and member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, Hayes earned his degree from UCF and has remained an active advocate and donor for the university. His gift marks a significant step in supporting UCF’s competitive excellence on the national stage.

“As UCF continues to elevate its national presence in the Big 12 Conference, I’m honored to support the momentum and invest in the future of UCF Athletics,” Hayes said. “Coach Frost and his family’s recent commitment was a powerful inspiration, and I hope my pledge encourages other UCF alumni, including my Pike brothers, to step forward and be a part of this exciting era in supporting the Knights and many other worthy initiatives across the university.”

Hayes led the sales and marketing efforts for many years at Voloridge Investment Management, a successful quantitative investment firm headquartered in Jupiter, Florida. He continues to serve as a partner and advisor at Voloridge. He also has served as a judge in The Joust New Venture Competition, UCF’s version of the Shark Tank television show that is open to students of all majors.

His success and leadership in business and his passion for UCF has made him a respected figure among the university’s alumni community.

“We are incredibly grateful to Sean for his generous commitment and ongoing dedication to UCF Football,” said Terry Mohajir, UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics. “His belief in the shared vision of UCF Athletics and several university academic programs at UCF will have a lasting impact as we continue to build a championship-caliber athletics program.”

Head football coach Scott Frost added, “Sean’s incredible generosity reflects the passion and pride that makes Knight Nation so special. His commitment to UCF Athletics will have a direct impact on our ability to compete at the highest level. I’m personally grateful for his support and leadership, and I hope it inspires others to join him in pushing UCF forward.”

The Competitive Success Fund plays a critical role in advancing UCF’s Mission XII initiative, especially during the transition into the revenue-sharing era of college athletics. For more information on how to support UCF Athletics through the Competitive Success Fund, click here.
