ORLANDO – The UCF volleyball team announced the addition of the 2023 Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year, Ella Chapman, to the 2025 roster on Thursday.

Ella Chapman is high-level middle who understands the intricacies of the position and how to make her presence felt on the court. She is a natural blocker with great instincts and is a threat to score as an attacker on every play. Ella knows how to compete, work hard, and contribute. She is also an enthusiastic learner who is constantly seeking ways to improve. She is a great addition to our program and we are looking forward to her arrival!

Chapman joins the Knights from FGCU where she spent the last two seasons. The 6-foot-4 middle blocker played in all 32 matches and ranked third in the conference with 116 total blocks. She was tabbed as Third Team All-Atlantic Sun Conference honoree along with earning College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.

I’m excited to be guided by the UCF coaching staff who are driven, intentional, and bring a clear vision for success. Being surrounded by teammates who share the same hunger for achievement pushes me to elevate my game. I’m eager to contribute in an environment built on dedication and purpose.
