ORLANDO – For the sixth consecutive season (excluding the 2019-20 season due to COVID) the UCF women’s golf team is set to head to NCAA Regionals, this year in Charlottesville, Virginia, May 5-7.
The Knights head into the Charlottesville Regional as the No. 6 seed and will compete against 11 other teams along with six individuals. A tough field lies ahead for the No. 33 UCF including #4 South Carolina, #11 Virginia (host), #16 Ole Miss, #21 Florida, #27 UCLA, Charleston, NC State, BYU, Princeton, Richmond, Radford.
This will be the first time the Knights head to Virginia for an NCAA Regional. The three-day event will be held at Birdwood Golf Course at Boar’s Head Resort. The course underwent a redesign from Davis Love III in 2020 but prior to that, Golf Digest ranked it as one of the top-10 collegiate courses in America. The course plays as a par 71 and 6320 yards.
The Black and Gold finished out the regular season with seven top-5 finishes tying the record from last season for the most since the 2013-14 season.
The Knights lineup features Pimpisa “Sandwich” Sisutham, Molly Smith, Mila Jurine, Jamie Camero, Katie Poots and One Kashima will be the designated sub.
UCF is set to tee off on Monday (5/5) at 8 a.m. on hole No. 10 and will be paired with UCLA and Florida.
