ORLANDO - Following a Big 12 regular-season title, the first for the school, the UCF women’s tennis team was selected to the 2025 NCAA Tournament, marking the 10th bid in program history.
The Knights will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, for the 12th-seeded NC State regional as the two-seed, matching up with Furman in the second round.
For the sixth time under head coach Bryan Koniecko, the Knights will be appearing in the field of 64, with a 22-3 record to this point, standing as the second-best winning percentage in a 25-match span (.880).
The Knights have had strong success in the tournament under Koniecko, advancing to the Round of 16 in both 2019 and 2021. UCF possesses a 6-5 record in tournament matches since 2018.
UCF and Furman have faced each other seven times, last meeting in 2021 during a 4-3 triumph. As for the hosts, the Knights and Wolfpack have twice since 2021, when UCF made its first trip to Raleigh for the ITA Kickoff Weekend.
