TULSA, Okla. – The UCF men’s golf team saved its best round for last as they wrapped up the Big 12 Championship with a fourth-round score of nine over and finished in 14th place with a team score of 1189 at Southern Hills Country Club.

No. 4 Oklahoma State won the Big 12 Championship outright as they were the only team in the field to finish under par as a team (-2). Preston Stout from Oklahoma State garnered first place with a two-under par performance, marking just one of two players to score under par throughout the field.

Chase Haygood and Lucas Dutartre each led the Knights as they tied for 48th place. Dutartre leaped up seven spots in the player leaderboard, scoring just one over on the final day of play. Haygood got off to a solid start going bogey-free through the first six holes on the back nine to finish five-over on the day.

Hans Risvaer climbed two spots with a three-over performance to end the tournament in 53rd place. Just one stroke from Risvaer, Jakob Stubhaug shot his best round of the tournament carding an even-par 70. Stubhaug wrapped up the week in 58th place.

Palmer Haynes concluded his rookie season, recording a 77 in round four and finished in 76th place with a score of 233 (+23).

The Knights second season as a member of the Big 12 Conference comes to a close, as UCF played well in its last few regular-season tournaments before facing a challenging field at the conference championship.
