Facilities Vision Updated

Our Vision

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – A little more than one year ago, UCF Athletics rolled out an aggressive vision for the future of UCF Athletics and its facilities. Today, UCF Athletics has announced an update to the UCF Athletics Facilities Vision.

New details have been released, including updated fund-raising totals, changes in projected costs and updates regarding facilities that have been completed or are currently under construction.

The UCF Athletics Facilities Vision to transform the Kenneth G. Dixon Athletics Village began with a $25 million goal. Based on current construction-cost projections, that total is now $30 million.

Meanwhile, more than half of that total has already been committed. Thanks to the generosity of numerous UCF stakeholders, $16.2 million has been committed to numerous projects that are part of the UCF Athletics Facilities Vision:

  • The aforementioned Kenneth G. Dixon Athletics Village was named after a $5 million commitment from Dixon.

  • More than $3 million has been committed to the construction of the Roth Athletics Center, which will create more space for the football program, while also serving as home to the UCF Athletics Administration. The lead gift for that project came from the Roth family. This project is currently under construction.

  • A renovation to UCF's baseball facility, now known as John Euliano Park, was completed earlier this spring. Nearly $3 million was committed to that project, including a lead gift of $1.5 million from Euliano.

  • More than $3 million has been committed to the Garvy Center for Student-Athlete Nutrition. That project is currently under construction at the south end of Spectrum Stadium. The Garvy family committed $1 million as a lead gift for that facility.

  • Nicholson Plaza will include the area to the east of the Wayne Densch Sports Center (football operations building), all the way north to Spectrum Stadium, including the area just north of the football practice fields. Once the Roth Athletics Center is completed, construction of Nicholson Plaza can begin. Tony and Sonja Nicholson committed $2 million to that project.

  •  Fund-raising is ongoing for the proposed Basketball Excellence Center, as well as the Student-Athlete Recovery Cove and enhancements to Nicholson Fieldhouse.
