by Justin Wilson

ORLANDO - The UCF men’s golf team heads to Trinity, Texas, this weekend where the Knights will make their debut in the Big 12 Championship. The tournament will be held at the Whispering Pines Golf Club Monday, April 22 through Wednesday, April 24.

The teams will play 36 holes Monday followed by 18 holes on Tuesday and Wednesday. The format consists of four sets of threesomes and one twosome. Monday’s seedings were determined by the Clippd national rankings, while the seedings for the remainder of the championship are determined by the previous day’s standings.

UCF will tee off starting at 10:10 a.m. ET from hole No. 1 and No. 10 along with TCU. Fans can follow the action on Golfstat.com and Wednesday’s final round will include live coverage on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ with Ryan Burr and Suzy Whaley providing commentary.

Hans Risvaer, Chase Haygood, Egor Eroshenko, Cooper Tate and Gustav Andersson will represent the Knights at the program’s first Big 12 Championship.

“I’m excited for this week,” said UCF head coach Bryce Wallor. “We were a little slow out of the gate, but we’ve gotten better incrementally and have played well in our last few tournaments.”
