Men’s Golf Wraps Up Play at The Hayt

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The UCF men’s golf team wrapped up play in The Hayt Collegiate Invitational Monday afternoon, as the Knights finished 13th with a team score of 911 (+47) in the three-day event held at the Sawgrass Country Club.

Sophomore Chase Haygood led the Black and Gold, finishing tied for 41st on the player leaderboard at nine over for the tournament with a 225. He turned in a 76 (+4) in the final round Monday with a birdie on hole No. 7, ending the event with six birdies over three days.

Hans Risvaer, a freshman from Miami, carded UCF’s best score of the day with a one-over-par 73, headlined by dropping in a birdie putt on hole 11. He recorded a 229 (+13) in the tournament with five birdies to tie for 54th.

Egor Eroshenko led the Knights with seven birdies over the three-day invitational, but had a tough ending with a 78 (+6) in Monday’s third round. He closed out the day with a birdie on 18.

After firing a one under on Sunday, Gustav Andersson couldn’t replicate the same performance Monday and notched an 81 (+9) to close out the weekend with a 230 (+14). Cooper Tate rounded out the lineup for UCF with an 83 (+11) in the last round and a 241 (+25) for the tournament.

Marc Keller, who competed as an individual, put together his best round of the tournament with a 74 (+2) thanks to three birdies. He was one over on the front nine with a birdie on No. 3 and one over on the back nine with birdies on No. 11 and 18. Keller ended the invitational with a three-day 239 (+23).

The Knights return to action next Monday, March 18, at the ECU Intercollegiate held in Greenville, North Carolina, at the Brook Valley Country Club.
