Knights Conclude Action at Sea Best Invitational

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The UCF men’s golf team concluded action at the Sea Best Invitational Tuesday afternoon at TPC Sawgrass – Dye’s Valley, as the Knights fired a 295 (+15) in the final round to finish the tournament in 13th place with an 891 (+51).

Florida won the invitational with an 842 (+2), while North Florida was second with an 845 (+5) and Louisville rounded out the top three with an 858 (+18).

Playing on the one of the toughest courses in the area, the teams saw the course play tough throughout the tournament as no team ended the event under par.

Senior Egor Eroshenko led the way for the Knights with a 216 (+6) to tie for 21st, closing out the tournament with an even par 70 Tuesday. He tallied three birdies in the final round and eight for the week.

Hans Risvaer, a freshman from Miami, carded a 223 (+13) after tallying a seven-over-par 77 in the third round. Gustav Andersson put together his best round of the tournament Tuesday with a 73 (+3) and finished the invitational with a 227 (+17).

Marc Keller notched a 229 (+19) and Garret Ebbert logged a 231 (+21) with the former recording a 75 (+5) and the latter a 77 (+7), respectively, in the final round Tuesday.

Headlined by nine birdies during the event, including three in the third round, sophomore Chase Haygood tied for 15th on the player leaderboard with a 215 (+5) while competing as an individual.

The Knights return to action next month at the Vystar Credit Union Gator Invitational held at the Mark Bostick Golf Course Saturday, Feb. 17 – Sunday, Feb. 18.
