Eroshenko Leads Men’s Golf at Fallen Oak Collegiate

SAUCIER, Miss. – Senior Egor Eroshenko recorded his first top-15 finish of the 2023-24 season to lead the UCF men’s golf team at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational held at the Fallen Oak Golf Course. Eroshenko carded a three-round score of 216 to tie for 12th on the player leaderboard.

The Russia native fired an even par (72) on the third day of the event to finish the tournament even with a 216. Eroshenko tallied six birdies Tuesday and ended with 13 over three rounds, the fifth most by any player in the field.

Gustav Andersson recorded a 76 (+4) in the third round to complete the invitational with a 227 (+11) to tie for 48th. Hans Risvaer turned in his best round of the week on Tuesday with an even par thanks to five birdies. He ended the event with a 229 (+13) over the three rounds of play.

Nicholas Estrada was six over (78) in the final round and finished with a 233 (+17) in the tournament. Garret Ebbert carded a 76 in the third round, his best score of the week. Ebbert birdied three holes, finishing two over on the front nine and the back nine. For the invitational, he registered a 235 (+19). Competing as an individual, Chase Haygood compiled a 237 over three rounds and ended the event with a 77 in the third round.

As a team, UCF recorded a 296 on Tuesday to conclude the tournament with a 903 (+39). Second-ranked Auburn won the event with an 843 (-21), No. 3 Ole Miss was second with an 862 (-2) and 10th-ranked Mississippi State rounded out the top-three with an 865 (+1).

The Knights have concluded their fall slate and will now have some time before returning to action after the calendar year turns to 2024. UCF’s next event will be the Sea Best Invitational held Jan. 29-30 in Ponte Vedra, Florida, at the TPC Sawgrass - Dye's Valley Golf Course.
