CINCINNATI – UCF freshman Garret Ebbert fired a 2-under-par 211 en route to recording a top-10 finish to lead the Knights at the Bearcat Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Ebbert led the way for UCF for the first time in his young collegiate career by tying for ninth with a 2-under-par 211 at the two-day tournament. He recorded scores of 68, 70 and 73 on his way to posting the inaugural top-10 finish of his career. He also paced the squad at the event with a total of 11 birdies, which included three during Tuesday’s final round.

As a team, the Knights placed 12th out of 17 teams with a 15-over-par 867 (285-295-287). Chattanooga won the event at 14-under-par (838), while Louisville placed second (-6) and fellow Big 12 foe BYU took third (-3).
