Women's Hoops Set to Host Louisiana-Monroe

ORLANDO - The UCF women's basketball team will face off against the University of Louisiana-Monroe on Tuesday in the Addition Financial Arena. The game will tip off at 6 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Knights return home after a closely contested 64-62 win at Campbell University last Tuesday. The defense continued to dominate, recording 14 steals and holding Campbell to just 21-of-53 field goals.

The offense continued to improve from the home opener, allowing only 14 turnovers, compared to the 27 from opening night against Winthrop. The Knights were able to capitalize on the 26 turnovers from Campbell, scoring 30 of their 64 points from those turnovers.

Laila Jewett leads in scoring for the Knights with 21 points in the two games played. She scored a career high 12 points at Campbell on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Taylor Gibson also scored a career high 10 points against the Fighting Camels.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the Knights and the Warhawks. ULM is 2-2 on the season, dropping to both Louisiana Tech and Central Arkansas. This will be the first road trip of the season for the Warhawks, who will look to improve their away record from last year, losing all nine of their away games during the 2021-22 campaign.
