ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - News and notes from the UCF football team for Thursday, Sept. 1. The Knights will practice this morning as they continue preparation for the season-opener Saturday.

News

-Looking for something to do tonight? Head to The MOAT in Oviedo for the George O'Leary Radio Show which begins at 7 p.m. The UCF-themed MOAT Sports Bar and Grille is located across the street from campus at 4250 Alafaya Trail (corner of McCulloch Road) in the University Palms Shopping Center.
-After appearing on Tuck & O'Neill on ESPN 1080 Wednesday, head coach George O'Leary is scheduled to be a guest with the Shot Doctor at 4:48 p.m. today on 740 AM The Game.

-The most experienced returning wide receiver on this year's roster, as he needs just five receptions for 100 in his career.
-Appeared in all 14 games as a true freshman during the 2007 C-USA championship season, posting 23 receptions for 253 yards and two touchdowns.
-Suffered a torn ACL but stormed back for a solid 2009 campaign, recording 44 catches for 572 yards, and then racked up 353 yards on 28 receptions as a junior.
-Could see time as a punt returner in 2011 as well, as he enters his senior year with 21 returns and 228 yards.
-Received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice after the 2010 season.

Stat of the Day
-Charleston Southern is 5-15 in season-opening games and 4-4 against teams from the Sunshine State.

What to Look For
-Friday from 9-11 p.m. CAB Cinema Presents "The Hangover Part 2" at the UCF Arena, and there will be free admittance, free popcorn and free cotton candy.

UCF football season ticket packages can be purchased online at UCFAthletics.com or by calling the UCF Athletics Ticket Office at (407) 823-1000. Should UCF host the C-USA Championship Game for the fourth time in seven years, it would be played on Saturday, Dec. 3, and season ticket holders will receive the first shot at the best seats.
