On the preseason...
"I came out ready and focused, and I worked hard in the summer during our workouts. I was able to get mentally and physically ready for the season. We lost some pretty good receivers, but we also have some returning veterans like (A.J.) Guyton, Quincy (McDuffie) and Khymest (Williams), and some younger guys with talent like J.J. (Worton) and (Josh) Reese."

On having an expanded role...
"I was the go-to guy since 10th grade (at South Dade High School), so I had to carry the team and I did the best I could to help the team win. I came here as a receiver, but I have the blocking technique of a tight end. So I look to stretch the field and make big plays. Most people look at a tight end as a blocker. But for me I can block, get yards after the catch and run routes."

Stat of the Day
-UCF, Ohio State, TCU and Alabama are the only four schools to rank in the FBS top 10 in rushing defense in each of the last two seasons.

What to Look For
-UCF is scheduled to have Saturday off.
-On campus, check out the Courtyard by Marriott/UCF Volleyball Classic which takes place Friday and Saturday at The Venue.

UCF football season ticket packages can be purchased online at UCFAthletics.com or by calling the UCF Athletics Ticket Office at (407) 823-1000.
