When UCF (2-1) has the ball:
Last Saturday against Buffalo, quarterback Jeff Godfrey completed 15-of-24 passes for 130 yards and gained 44 yards on 13 carries. In his first-career start, Godfrey led the Knights to the first road win of the season. A.J. Guyton caught three passes for 21 yards and increased his season total of receptions to 12. Kamar Aiken and Brian Watters also had three receptions and are tied with 10 catches on the year. Tailback Ronnie Weaver had a career game, carrying the ball eight times for 49 yards, and crossing the goal-line twice. Weaver's second score came with under four minutes left in the game and put the Knights ahead by two touchdowns.

For Kansas State's defense, linebacker Alex Hrebec paces the Wildcats with 29 tackles while Prizell Brown has recorded one sack in all three games. KSU has forced five turnovers, including forcing three fumbles.

When KSU (3-0) has the ball:
The nation's second-leading rusher will be a focus of the Knights as Kansas State's Daniel Thomas averages 6.7 yards per carry. The senior has rushed for 552 yards on 83 attempts, getting into the end zone six times, including twice vs. UCLA where he galloped for 234 yards. Senior quarterback Carson Coffman owns a 64.8 completion percentage while averaging 150 passing yards a game, as his favorite receiver is Brodrick Smith who has 12 receptions for 179 yards and three touchdowns.

KSU will be facing a top-20 defense in UCF as the Knights rank 15th in the nation in total defense this season. Eight Knights have collected at least 10 tackles, led by Lawrence Young who has 18. But in all the Black and Gold has racked up eight sacks and 23 tackles for loss, highlighted by Darius Nall who has three sacks and four TFLs.

Did you know:
UCF has outscored opponents 35-0 in the fourth quarter this year, marking the first time in the FBS era (since 1996) that the Knights have held teams scoreless in the final quarter through the first three games of a season. Dating back to the program's inception in 1979, it is the fourth time overall (1979, 1988, 1991, 2010) that UCF has not allowed a point in the fourth quarter in its first three contests. In the 1979 campaign, the Black and Gold finally gave up points in the last quarter in game five, a touchdown at Presbyterian Oct. 27.
