Three Knights Named To Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook Preseason All C-USA First Team

June 13, 2008

Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - A trio of UCF football players were named to the Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook Preseason All-Conference USA first team this past week. Seniors Joe Burnett and Pat Brown were joined by sophomore Bruce Miller on the publication's preseason squad.

The three players all earned All-Conference USA recognition a season ago as the Knights captured the 2007 league title with a 44-25 victory over Tulsa at Bright House Networks Stadium.

Burnett ranks second on the UCF career charts with 12 interceptions, which is a total that has him second among active returning players in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision. The senior from Eustis, Fla., is a three-time All-Conference USA performer as both a cornerback and punt returner.

Brown has made 38-consecutive starts at left tackle - the most of any active player in the FBS. The St. Charles, Ill. Native helped the UCF offense churn out school records for points in a season (502) and rushing yards (3,287) a season ago.

Miller ranked fourth in C-USA with 7.5 sacks during his rookie campaign in 2007. The Canton, Ga., native was a second-team All C-USA selection and a member of the All-Freshman team.
