Baker, Grable Set for 2024 NFL Scouting Combine This Weekend

UCF’s Javon Baker and Tylan Grable will participate in the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine this weekend. Also known as the NFL Draft Combine, the NFL Scouting Combine takes place in Indianapolis from Feb. 26 through March 4.

The wide receiver drills will be held on Saturday, March 2 starting at 1 p.m. ET and the offensive lineman drills will be Sunday, March 3 at 1 p.m. ET.

Baker was named a First Team All-Big 12 selection after leading the conference in receiving yards (1,139) in 2023, yards per reception (21.9) and receiving yards per game (87.6). The Atlanta native’s 21.9 yards per catch mark also ranked second nationally.

Baker also had the longest reception in the Big 12 last season, an 86-yard touchdown against then-No. 6 Oklahoma. He reeled in 52 passes with seven touchdowns to tie for fifth in the conference.

He surpassed 100 receiving yards in five games during the 2023 season, headlined by a career-high 173 yards against Georgia Tech in the Gasparilla Bowl.

Grable started all 13 games last season at left tackle, helping UCF compile the nation’s fourth-ranked rushing offense (228.2) and the nation's eighth-ranked total offense (487.0). He was tabbed an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection by the league’s coaches and participated in the East-West Shrine Bowl.

With Grable leading the offensive line, the unit was one of 23 listed on the midseason honor roll for the Joe Moore Award, presented annually to the most outstanding offensive line in college football.
