ORLANDO – The UCF women’s soccer team has announced its 2024 spring schedule, including three home matches and participation in the inaugural Florida Spring Cup.
The Florida Spring Cup features the Knights, South Florida, North Florida, Stetson, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida International and Miami. The teams form pods and play the other three teams in the pod. The tournament will conclude with a crossover match dependent upon the results of each team and a championship match for the squads with the best records.
The Knights will remain in the state of Florida for the entirety of the spring season, opening the slate with a closed scrimmage against the Orlando Pride Feb. 18. Staying at home, the squad will host Stetson less than a week later on Feb. 24 at 1 p.m for the opening match of the Florida Spring Cup. The lone confirmed road trip is March 3 at 6 p.m. when UCF travels to take on South Florida in Tampa, Florida. The North Florida Ospreys travel to Orlando Apr. 7 at 2 p.m. for the penultimate spring match for the Black and Gold.
The conclusion of the Florida Spring Cup features the Knights taking on Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida International or Miami in the crossover contest either Apr. 13 or 14. The team with the better record will host the finale.
