UCF Drops Dual to No. 3 Ohio State

ORLANDO, Fla.  – The UCF men's tennis team dropped the dual match to No. 3 Ohio State on Friday, February 25, by a score of 0-4 from Columbus, Ohio.
 
Playing together for the first time, Lleyton Cronje and Cooper White highlight the day after getting a big upset in doubles with a win over the top ranked duo of Matej Vocel and Robert Cash with a score of 6-3.
 
The Buckeyes clinched the doubles point as JC Roddick and Alan Rubio fell to No. 11 Cannon Kingsley and JJ Tracy, 1-6, on court two and Vasyl Kiselyov and Quinn Snyder fell to Andrew Lutschaunig and James Trotter, 2-6, on court three.
 
In singles play, Lleyton Cronje faced No. 10 Cannon Kingsley on court one, falling 4-6, 4-6. Shortly after, Alan Rubio fell to Jake Van Emburgh on court two, 4-6, 1-6, as the Buckeyes led 3-0.
 
Ohio State won the match after Vasyl Kiselyov couldn't overcome No. 64 Robert Cash on court six as he fell, 0-6, 1-6.
 
The last three matches went unfinished.
 
JC Roddick had found some momentum, forcing a third set against No. 11 JJ Tracy on court three. Roddick dropped the first set, 4-6, and came back big to win the second set, but the match went unfinished before the start of the third set.
 
On court four, Cooper White was looking strong against No. 33 James Trotter. White was just edged out in the first set but was leading the second before the match went unfinished in 6-7(2), 3-2.
 
Quinn Snyder just began his third set against Jason Boulais on court five, but his match also went unfinished at 7-5, 0-6, 0-1.
