ORLANDO – As UCF Softball gears up to return to the diamond, we are excited to announce what's new for our 2023 campaign. UCF Athletics has several enhancements to the game day experience in our "New in '23" list below:
What's New and Returning!
NEW Family Friendly Pricing – You asked, and we listened - We are thrilled to share with you our new 3-2-1 menu available at every game all season. Nachos and pretzels will be priced at $3 each, hot dogs and peanuts are $2 each and for $1, you can get a bag of popcorn or chips.
NEW Concessions Specialty Items – At most home games at The Plex this season, a special concessions item will be featured based on the visiting team for that game. Some featured menu items include: A Pulled Pork Platter (Georgia), Po Boys (Louisiana Lafayette), Bacon on a Stick (Louisville), Ribs (Purdue), Cuban Sandwiches (FIU and USF), a Chicken and Waffle Sandwich (Houston). Be on the lookout for announcements regarding these food items and come out to The Plex to make sure you try them all!
NEW Full Season Trading Card Giveaway – Throughout the 2023 Season, we will be giving away a trading card for our featured player of the game. The first 50 people to collect all 25 cards will receive an exclusive prize!
NEW Season Ticketholders' Perk of the Month – Introducing our new Season Ticketholders' Perk of the Month! From giveaways to experiences on field, Season Ticket Account Holders will have the chance to redeem their Perk of the Month each month throughout this season. Be on the lookout for announcements regarding the Season Ticketholders' Perk of the Month!
NEW Taylor Swift Knight – Weren't able to get your Taylor Swift tickets for the Eras Tour? That's okay! On March 25, Swifties will have the chance to compete through several Taylor Swift-themed contests and games to see who the ultimate UCF Swiftie is, and for the chance to win 2 tickets to her Eras Tour!
Pups at the Plex – Bring your furry friend to the ballpark (March 26) for a fun day with UCF Softball. Water and clean up stations will be provided throughout the ballpark. If you want to participate in Pups at the Plex, a form will be sent out prior to the event, and you must RSVP.
Decades Series – The fan favorite Decades Series is back on April 21-23 for the War on I-4. Take a trip back in time at The Plex where we will highlight the 70's, 80's, and 90's! We will be giving away Citronaut Magnets, Neon UCF tank tops and UCF Bucket Hats respectively. Make sure to come out and enjoy this blast to the past!
Sunday Youth Postgame Clinics – After the Feb. 26 and April 23 games against Louisville and USF, kids 12 and under will get the chance to get some pointers from the Knights in our Youth Postgame clinics.
OPENING WEEKEND
The Knights open their season against the 10th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, marking the second straight season that UCF has drawn an Opening Knight matchup with Georgia. The season-opener is the first of four games the Knights will play during the Black & Gold Classic at the UCF Softball Complex, followed by a pair of Friday matchups against UMass and Boise State on Feb. 10 and a Saturday evening tilt against Ohio State on Feb. 11.
