Men's Tennis Releases Fall Schedule

ORLANDO – The UCF men's tennis team has unveiled their fall schedule ahead of the 2022-23 season. The schedule includes five tournaments including a sixth should any Knight qualify.

The fall begins with the UCF Fall Sizzler on Sep. 16, the Black and Gold's lone home tournament of the semester.

UCF will travel to Tulsa, Okla. for the ITA All-American Championships from Oct. 1-9. A host of Knights found success there last season, including Bogdan Pavel picking up a pair of singles victories in the main draw, one coming over a top 75 player.

The ITA Southeast Regional Tournament is next on the Knights' schedule, as they'll be out to prove they have some of the top players in the area from Oct. 20-23.

The Knights will potentially be split up in three different spots to begin November. Some will make a trip to Gainesville for the University of Florida Invitational from Nov. 4-6. At the same time, another portion of the Black and Gold will be in Tallahassee, Fla. for the Bedford Cup. If any UCF player qualifies for the ITA Fall National Championships, they'll be headed to San Diego from Nov. 4-7.

The UCF men's tennis team will release their dual match schedule at a later date. Currently, the only matches on the spring slate are a Jan. 28 contest at No. 5 Ohio State and a meeting with either No. 44 Tulsa or No. 52 Oregon the following day in Columbus, Ohio. The two matches are a part of ITA Kickoff Weekend, with the winner of that four-team pool going on to ITA National Indoors.
