UCF Football Social Media Rank Among Top-Rated in FBS

Have you been following the Knights' football successes on social media?
 
The answer to that question apparently is a resounding "yes."
 
That's because various UCF football social media accounts produced numbers in 2019 that ranked among the best anywhere in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS).
 
In terms of season-long numbers, UCF stood:
 
--11th in total Instagram interactions generated by the main UCF athletics accounts (1 million)
--18th in Twitter interactions for the football accounts (917,000)
--19th in total Instagram interactions by football accounts (2.7 million)
--23rd in average Instagram interactions per post, as UCF's main athletic Instagram account went from 91,000 interactions through Jan. 1, 2019, to 108,000 through Jan. 1, 2020
--24th in football Facebook interactions, with the second-highest interaction rate in the top 25 and 3.5 million video views
 
UCF accounts also produced a series of top social media ratings late in the 2019 campaign and as the Knights headed to Tampa to play in the Gasparilla Bowl:
 
--14th in Facebook interactions for football accounts for the week of Dec. 23-29, 2019, (UCF played its bowl game Dec. 23) at 23,000
--14th in Twitter interactions for football accounts for that same week (29,000)
--21st in Instagram interactions for football accounts for that week (73,000)
--21st in Instagram interactions for football accounts for the week of Dec. 16-22 (the seven days prior to the Gasparilla Bowl) at 86,000
--24th in Twitter interactions for football accounts on National Letter of Intent Signing Day (Dec. 18) at 13,000
--16th in Instagram interactions for football accounts on Signing Day (43,000)
--24th in Facebook interactions for football accounts for the week of Dec. 9-15 (the week after the bowl announcements) at 8,000
--20th in Instagram interactions for the main UCF athletics account for the week of Dec. 2-8 (the week leading up to the Dec. 8 bowl announcements) at 21,000
--10th in Twitter interactions for the main UCF athletics accounts for the week of Nov. 25-Dec. 1 (the week of UCF's regular-season finale vs. USF) at 14,000
--10th in Instagram interactions for the main UCF athletics accounts for that same week (53,000)
--18th in Facebook interactions for the football accounts for that week (29,000)
--17th in Twitter interactions for the football account that week (42,000)
--21st in Instagram interactions for the football account that week (104,000)
