ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The postseason accolades for the Knights continue as Alea White, Cassady Brewer, and Breanna Vasquez have earned All-Region honors announced Thursday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

White earns her second-consecutive First Team All-Region accolades joining Kahley Novak, Shelby Turnier, and Allison Kime as the only players in UCF program history to accomplish this feat.

The junior wrapped up the season with a 1.61 earned run average and a 23-14 overall record. In 39 appearances, White made 31 starts and threw 221.1 innings against opponents collecting 174 strikeouts and held batters to a .214 batting average.

White tossed her first career no-hitter against Coastal Carolina on Feb. 22, just her sixth outing of the season. In the win, White struck out a career-high 12 batters and walked just two.

After her junior season, White is now fifth all-time in program history in most strikeouts and has 98 career starts putting her fourth all-time just behind Hall of Famer, Allison Kime. White also made her 125th career appearance, which is tied for fourth with Ashleigh Cole.

White, who was also voted to First-Team All-Conference in The American, led the pitching staff to be among the best 20 pitching staffs in Division I in ERA with freshman pitcher, Vasquez.

Brewer joins the list for multiple All-Region honors making second team in her final season as a Knight. The senior led UCF with a .341 batting average playing in 52 games this season with a .543 slugging percentage and a .452 on base percentage.

The Apopka native led the team in doubles with 16, tying the single-season record and added 24 RBI a team-high 28 walks.

Brewer recorded 15 multi-hit games this season and reached base safely in 35 out of her 52 games played. Brewer spent most of her time behind the dish, but also spent time as the designated hitter.

Vasquez had an impressive rookie season posting a 1.72 ERA to help UCF boast one of the best ERA’s in all of Division I earning Third-Team All-Region. The freshman posted an overall record of 11-7 making 23 starts, 26 appearances with 13 complete games.

After tossing 142.2 innings, Vasquez collected 115 strikeouts, four shutouts and just 35 earned runs, while keeping opponents to a .218 batting average.

During the beginning of her first collegiate season, Vasquez threw over 34 innings without giving up an earned run. Out of her 26 appearances, Vasquez gave up four hits or less in 16 games.

UCF finished the season 34-21 overall and 11-10 in The American under first year coach, Cindy Ball-Malone.
