ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - UCF Volleyball senior middle blocker Kaye-Alese Green was named to the Capital One Academic All-District IV Second Team on Thursday.
The Jacksonville, Fla., native graduated last December with a degree in psychology and maintains a 3.8 GPA while pursuing a master's degree in applied learning and instruction.
Green, who has been named to conference all-academic teams four consecutive years, earned her first all-district honors and became the first Knight since 2012 to earn the distinction. She was one of two Division I graduate students to earn all-district accolades.
The four-time Dean's List honoree was the only student-athlete last year awarded the Order of Pegasus, UCF's most prestigious and significant student award. She is a Burnett Honors College LEAD scholar and a Student-Athlete Leadership Institute member.
As active as she is off the court, Green's contributions on the court have been significant as well. She was voted to the All-American Athletic Conference Preseason Team after being named All-AAC Second Team in 2013. She currently ranks 16th in the nation with a .412 hitting percentage and is one of UCF's top blockers. She has 69 total blocks this season, including 14 solo blocks.
UCF Volleyball, which is presented by Radisson- UCF Area, returns to action tomorrow evening, facing the UConn Huskies at 7 p.m. in Storrs, Conn. For more information on how to purchase tickets, visit UCFKnights.com or call 407-UCF-1000.
