ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - A pair of conference road wins helped the UCF volleyball team continue its upward trend in the latest NCAA RPI rankings, which were released Monday afternoon.
The Knights (13-5, 6-0 AAC) moved into 27th in the rankings, up one spot from last week when UCF debuted at 28th. The RPI standings rank 334 Division I volleyball teams based upon their winning percentage, strength of schedule and opponents' strength of schedule.
The Knights are also receiving votes for the third straight week in the AVCA Coaches Poll.
After opening conference with a pair of road wins over SMU and Tulsa, the Knights have continued to roll in league play. UCF recorded sweeps of Temple, UConn and East Carolina and earned a 3-1 come-from-behind win over in-state rival USF. The Knights have won eight straight conference matches dating back to the 2013 season.
