AVCA Coaches Poll
ORLANDO, Fla. - After two weekends of American Athletic Conference action, the UCF volleyball team remains undefeated in league play and receiving accolades for its performance up to this point.
The NCAA released the first RPI ranking on Monday and UCF (11-5, 4-0 AAC) earned its highest ranking, debuting at 28. The RPI standings rank more than 334 teams based upon their winning percentage, strength of schedule and opponents' strength of schedule. UCF jumped to 28th in the Rich Kern RKPI.
The Knights also gained votes in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll. UCF is receiving votes for the second straight week in the Coaches poll.
After opening conference with a pair of road wins over SMU and Tulsa, the Knights swept Temple and UConn over the weekend, becoming the only undefeated team in conference play.
The Knights put their winning streak on the line when they travel to Tampa for a midweek match-up against in-state rival USF at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
