Thirteen Knights Earn American All-Academic Honors

ORLANDO, Fla. ( - The American Athletic Conference announced its annual academic honors on Wednesday and the UCF volleyball program was honored with 13 team members from the 2013 season earning AAC All-Academic Team accolades.

To earn the award, each student-athlete must attain at least a 3.00 GPA for the academic year and complete a minimum of two consecutive semesters of academic work.

A pair of Knights, Marie Reiterova and Kaye-Alese Green, earned their fourth all-academic team selection. DeLaina Sarden, Roxy Mendez and Kayla Keller were named to the all-academic team for the third time in their careers, and Ashley Gialenios garnered her second all-academic accolade.

UCF Volleyball, which is presented by Radisson - UCF Area, opens the season with the Radisson UCF Invitational on Aug. 29 and 30 at The Venue.
