ORLANDO, Fla. ( - The first batch of Conference USA postseason awards were announced Monday as the C-USA All-Academic Team was released. UCF junior outfielder Parker Webster received a spot on the prestigious squad with a 3.50 grade-point average while majoring in interdisciplinary studies with a minor in health sciences.

In his first year at UCF after transferring in from Southern Idaho, Webster has been named to the Athletic Director Honor Roll for the fall and spring semesters, including a spot on the President's Honor Roll at UCF with a perfect 4.0 GPA recently. The Sandy, Utah, native was also one of 227 Knights to be named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll last month.

On the field, Webster has started 44 of the 46 games he has played in, mostly out in left field. He has clubbed 10 doubles and two homers while driving in 28 runs. On March 25, he was also named the league's hitter of the week after notching four two-hit performances in five games.

Webster, and the rest of his teammates, will head to the Conference USA Championship in Houston, Texas, as the No. 5 seed. They will take on No. 4 Memphis Wednesday at 12 p.m. EDT.

The Knights will also battle top-seeded host Rice on Thursday at 8 p.m. EDT and No. 8 UAB Friday at 8 p.m. EDT in their pod. Should they own the best record in the pool, they will advance to Sunday's championship game at 2 p.m. EDT on CBS Sports Network.
