ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF baseball team continues its eight-game road trip Wednesday when it finishes the season series with USF at 7 p.m. The Knights (18-15) will be looking for their fifth win in their last six trips to Tampa.
The game can be heard all-across the Central Florida airwaves on 740-AM The Game with Marc Daniels on the call. Pregame starts at 6:45 p.m.
Looking to snap a five-game losing streak, the Knights will send RHP Danny Davis (3-1, 3.34 ERA) to the mound for his seventh start of the year. The Brandon native has put up zeros in all three of his appearances out of the bullpen most recently, and will be making his first start since March 20 at Jacksonville.
UCF will be looking to avenge a 6-4 loss it suffered to the Bulls (18-14) at home back on Feb. 26. The Knights saw their late-inning rally of four runs and seven hits over the last three frames fall short after the Bulls jumped out to an early advantage. In that game, UCF smashed three of its 19 home runs this year.
After the midweek game in Tampa, the Knights will end their road trip in Houston, Texas, when they take on No. 14 Rice beginning Friday night at 7:30 EDT on Fox College Sports.
