BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( - No stranger to wild wins on Sunday in 2013, the UCF baseball team was able to pull through with a 10-inning, 12-10 victory over UAB to ensure the series sweep at Young Memorial Field.

The Knights (17-9, 3-0), winners of their last seven in Birmingham, have now swept a Conference USA opponent for the sixth time in program history, with five coming on the road.

In the wild Sunday matinee, both teams combined for 28 hits, 22 runs, 11 pitchers and five errors. The 3:37 game also saw frequent rain showers in the 6-9th innings, but avoided any significant delays.

Six Knights managed multiple-hit games, including three with more than two RBI. Freshman Bo Decker, who started at DH for the second-straight day, went 2-for-5 with four RBI to pace the offense. Redshirt sophomore Spencer Davis upped his record to 3-1, while rookie Tyler Martin finished a clean 10th for his first-career save.

The Knights turn their attention to Southern Miss who pays a visit to the UCF baseball complex. Both teams will play Thursday and Friday at 6:30 p.m. prior to Saturday's 12:30 matinee.

Trailing 1-0 for the second-straight contest, UCF responded the next inning when Decker chopped a two-run single over the third baseman's head to score Chris Taladay (2-for-5, 4 R, 2 RBI) and Parker Webster (2-for-6, 2 RBI).

JoMarcos Woods (2-for-4, 3 R, 1 RBI) made it three-straight games with an RBI as he homered to lead off the top of the third. His solo shot to right field was the first of the year for the Orlando native, and second-career dinger.

The Knights made it 5-2 in the fifth when James Vasquez (1-for-4, 1 RBI) ripped a double to right-center followed by an RBI grounder by Taladay.

After UAB plated a pair of runs in the fifth and sixth, Decker came through again for the Knights with a bloop single to center field that scored Taladay after he reached on his second hit of the game, and 234th of his career, to tie the game at 6-all.

UCF wouldn't wait long to take the lead, as it exploded for four runs on three UAB miscues and one hit in the top of the eighth. Taladay came through after Erik Hempe (2-for-4, 1 R) was intentionally walked by reaching on an RBI fielder's choice. Following a Webster RBI grounder, Hempe scored on a passed ball while Austin Johnston (2-for-4, 1 RBI) plated the fourth run on an RBI single to left.

The Blazers (9-14, 0-3) didn't go quietly, scoring one during the pouring rain in the eighth, followed by three off of Davis in the ninth to tie the game at 10-all.

Facing extra innings for the first time this year, UCF came out swinging in the 10th as Webster hit his third double of the series to score pinch-runner Erik Barber. Decker tacked on an insurance run with a SAC fly to center to complete his four-RBI day.

Despite two UAB runners reaching in the bottom of the 10th, Martin buckled down and used his defense for the 6-3 double play to complete the sweep.
