ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The No. 27 UCF women’s tennis team is set to play three matches in as many days. Their weekend begins with a double header on Friday and a match at noon on Sunday.

The Black and Gold will look to continue their recent success and build on their eight-match winning streak. UCF has dominated their opposition during this winning streak, winning 6-1 or better in five matches. To this point in the 2019 campaign, the Knights are 7-0 on home court.

In Friday’s double header, the Knights will host conference opponent Tulane at 11 a.m. before battling the visiting Miami (OH) Redhawks at 5 p.m.

Tulane has had a rough season to this point, sitting at a 5-9 record overall and 0-4 in conference play. They have lost nine of their last ten matches, the only win in that stretch coming over UAB. Friday’s match will be the last on the schedule for Tulane, while it is the just the second for the Knights.

Miami comes to visit the UCF Collegiate Tennis Center at the USTA National Campus with a 2-7 record. Their No. 1 singles player, Brindtha Ramasamy, is 6-1 this season and has been the most successful Redhawk to this point.

Sunday the Knights square off with Pennsylvania. They boast a 7-2 record with their only losses coming to No. 19 Old Dominion and Columbia. Iuliia Bryzgalova is having a season to remember thus far, as she is 7-0 in the spring with a 20-2 record overall.
