ORLANDO, Fla. (www.UCFAthletics.com) - UCF head women's basketball coach Joi Williams announced on Wednesday the hiring of Kim Boes as director of operations.
"I am excited to have the opportunity to work with Kim again," said Williams, who served as an assistant coach at Florida during Boes' tenure there. "She is well-organized, detail-oriented and experienced in what it takes to help our day-to-day operations run smoothly."
Boes comes to UCF after nine years working with the University of Florida Athletics Association. After beginning her career in the accounting department, she joined the women's basketball staff and spent the last three seasons as an assistant to the head coach. In that role, she coordinated team travel, oversaw student managers and equipment as well as all of the team's community relations and extracurricular activities. She also served as the director of the women's basketball camps since 2004 and as the team's administrative liaison during the postseason.
Boes holds an associate's degree in travel and hospitality management from Brown-Mackie College in Kansas. A native of Norwalk, Iowa, she played basketball, golf and softball at Norwalk High School.
Williams was hired as the 11th head coach in UCF history on March after serving in the same position at Murray State for the last four years. In the fall, the Knights will make their debut in the new Convocation Center on campus.
