ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Due to impending afternoon storms, each game of the series between UCF and East Carolina will begin at 11 a.m. The three-game set starts on Thursday morning at the UCF Baseball Complex.
UCF has slotted junior right-handers Robby Howell (7-2, 1.83 ERA, 56 K) and Juan Pimentel (3-6, 4.18 ERA, 54 K) in the first two games, while the third starter is to be determined. The Pirates are going with lefty Evan Kruczynski (5-1, 1.83 ERA, 74 K), righty Jimmy Boyd (6-4, 2.51 ERA, 49 K) and lefty Jacob Wolfe (6-3, 2.53 ERA, 53 K) as their three starters.
UCF (25-28, 8-12 The American) will honor seniors Harrison Hukari and Sam Tolleson prior to their final home game on Saturday. The ceremony is set to start 10 minutes prior to the 11 a.m. first pitch.
East Carolina (31-19-1, 12-8-1 The American) is currently second place in the tightly bunched conference standings with five wins separating first and last place. The Pirates have won league series against Houston, Memphis, UConn (twice) and Cincinnati and earned notable non-conference wins over Virginia, Maryland, Rice, Duke, Jacksonville, UNC Wilmington and NC State.

The schedule for The American Championship from May 24-29 will be announced following the completion of the regular season on Saturday night. The Knights will open up play at Brighthouse Networks Field in Clearwater, Fla., on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
