ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - After opening play in The American with a series win at Memphis, UCF returns home on Tuesday for a 6:30 p.m. contest against No. 12 Florida Atlantic. The ceremonial first pitch is set to be thrown by men's basketball head coach Johnny Dawkins.

The Knights have tabbed junior lefty Harrison Hukari (1-1, 6.23 ERA, 24 K) as their starter, while the Owls have countered with righty David McKay (1-1. 4.50 ERA, 25 K).
UCF comes into the meeting with a 17-13 mark after taking two of three games at Memphis to open conference play. Junior right-hander Juan Pimentel was selected to The American Honor Roll after recording eight strikeouts over 8 1.3 innings to clinch the series at Memphis on Sunday.
FAU is 21-4 overall and ranked as high as No. 12 by the NCBWA. The Owls have notched notable wins over Mississippi State, LIU Brooklyn, Georgetown, Saint Joseph's, Rutgers, Middle Tennessee, UAB and Old Dominion.
The Knights complete a stretch with six of seven games on the road with a series at Houston. The first two games on Friday and Saturday start at 7:30 p.m. Eastern, while the three-game set rounds out at 2 p.m. Sunday.
