ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - In its final preparations before beginning conference play, UCF welcomes Cornell for a three-game set that starts on Friday at 6:30 p.m. Saturday is Pink at the Park with 200 tank tops being given away and the first pitch is slated for 4 p.m. The series wraps up at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The pitching rotation for the Knights is led by sophomore Cre Finfrock (1-1, 2.65 ERA, 44 K) and junior Robby Howell (4-0, 0.79 ERA, 22 K), who are slated to pitch the first two games, while the starter in the series finale is still to be determined. Cornell has set its three pitchers for the weekend in Paul Balestrieri (0-2, 6.32 ERA, 8 K), Tim Willittes (2-1, 3.38 ERA, 27 K) and Peter Lanoo (1-0, 3.38 ERA, 5 K).
UCF (12-11) is looking to snap a three-game skid. The Knights dropped a two-game series at No. 10 Florida State and came up just short in a 5-4 11-inning loss on Wednesday, which was highlighted by two homers and four RBI from junior infielder Austin Griffin.
Cornell (6-4) has captured series wins against Wofford and Bucknell and took a game from Northeastern to start the season.
The Knights begin a four-game road trip in Jacksonville on Tuesday at 6 p.m. A series at Memphis opens play in The American for UCF on April 1-3.
