Why I choose UCF?

MKP: I choose UCF because I felt comfortable here. The players and coaches were so nice and welcoming, along with all the people I met on campus. Plus, the campus is amazing!

What is your favorite thing about campus?
MKP: My favorite thing about campus is the athletic village. The facilities are beautiful and I like that the athletes all live near each other. I have met so many great people.

What is your best UCF memory?
MKP: My best UCF memory is when I was in Coach Dagenais' office during my official visit and he gave me an offer to play here. I was so excited. I remember it took a lot for me not to scream.

What is something people may be surprised to know about you?
MKP: I was named after a character in one of my favorite movies, "The Quiet Man", starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara, who played Mary Kate Danaher.

Why did I choose my number?
MKP: I choose 33 because of Larry Bird. I watched a video on his career. He was an unbelievable player! He showed dedication and hard work which is very important to me.

How would your friends describe you?
My friends would describe me as kind-hearted and silly. I am always smiling and laughing.

Favorite sport other than volleyball?
MKP: I love baseball. My family has had season tickets for the Phillies since I was a baby. I even remember the old stadium, Veterans Stadium.

What is the best advice I have ever received?
MKP: The best advice I have received is from my dad. He said mistakes happen. If you are going to make one do it while being aggressive and outwork everyone.

How do I want people to remember me?
MKP: I want people to remember me as someone who was always there for my teammates and friends and that I always gave my best effort at everything.

Do you have any sisters that also play volleyball?
MKP: I have two younger sisters, Amelia and Eily. They both play indoor and beach volleyball.
