ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com)--UCF head volleyball coach Todd Dagenais has added Brian Doyon to the Knights' staff as an assistant coach.

"Brian's resume speaks for itself. As a former assistant in the PAC-12 he knows what it's like to compete at the highest level," Dagenais said. "He is already 'swimming with the sharks' and has done so with a great deal of success. His ability to train and develop players will help our program immensely, especially with such a young roster."

Doyon is currently a co-head coach for USA Volleyball's Collegiate National Team-Indianapolis, working alongside Dagenais. The Syracuse, N.Y. native is also the head coach of the USA Volleyball Youth A-1 National Development team.

Dagenais is also a co-head coach for USA Volleyball's CNT-Indianapolis. All of the CNT programs are part of the USA Volleyball High Performance pipeline and are considered second tryouts for the U.S. Women's National Team.

"I would like to thank Todd Dagenais and the entire UCF athletic family for this incredible opportunity," Doyon said. "My family and I are honored to be joining such a successful and well-supported program. From the start of the interview process, I knew how committed the University is to the success of its student-athletes, as well the success of all its athletic programs. I'm looking forward to getting to campus to begin working with the amazing group of athletes and coaches."

Prior to his post with USA Volleyball, Doyon served as head coach at the University of Montana for two seasons. He also spent six years as an assistant coach at the University of Utah.

At Utah, Doyon helped the Utes to two second round NCAA appearances, and was heavily involved with three recruiting classes which earned Highest Honorable Mention from prepvolleyball.com. Doyon has also worked as the assistant director for Terry Pettit's Summit on Extraordinary Coaching, which mentors collegiate coaches.

Doyon earned a bachelor's degree from ESF at Syracuse in 1995.
