ORLANDO, Fla. ( - The UCF baseball team concludes its four-game road trip this weekend when it plays a three-game series against in-state rival USF for the first time as a member of the American Athletic Conference.

The Knights (18-12, 6-0 The American) currently sit on top of the league standings with the Bulls (17-12, 4-2) right behind them in second place.

All three games can be heard all-across the Central Florida airwaves on AM 740 The Game with Marc Daniels on the call. Pregame starts at 15 minutes prior to each contest.

UCF currently owns the nation's second-longest winning streak in college baseball at nine in a row and will look continue its run on Friday at 7 p.m. when it sends LHP Eric Skoglund (4-0, 2.12 ERA) to the mound for his eighth start of the year. The Sarasota native has won The American Pitcher of the Week twice and leads the conference with 42 strikeouts.

Skoglund will be opposed by the Bulls' sophomore ace Jimmy Herget. Herget is 4-3 and ranks second in The American with a 0.96 ERA.

On Saturday, RHP Tanner Olson (3-1, 3.09 ERA) will make his second-consecutive weekend start for the Knights. The Ferndale, Wash., native will be opposed by USF's Casey Mulholland (2-0, 2.90 ERA) with first pitch scheduled for a 6 p.m.

The series will conclude with a 1 p.m. Sunday matinee. Starting pitchers for both teams in game three are still to-be-determined.
