ORLANDO, Fla. ( - The biggest week for the No. 13 UCF baseball team since joining Conference USA in 2005-06 is set to begin Tuesday evening when the Knights (40-12) host in-state rival Stetson at 6:30 p.m.

While the Knights look for their 12th-straight win over the Hatters (34-18), fans can enjoy dollar hot dogs at the UCF baseball complex all game long. Baseball supporters can also purchase their tickets for the winner-take-all C-USA series with Rice on Thursday and Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. The "Triple Play" package features all three games for one price, including a free mini bat. For ticket information, call (407) 823-1000.

Two weeks ago in DeLand, UCF grinded out a 5-4, 13-inning triumph after Ronnie Richardson hit the game-winning solo home run. Senior Bryan Brown pitched three scoreless frames in extra innings to earn the win.

The Knights will throw freshman Eric Skoglund tomorrow in his first start since he picked up his fifth win of the season against Florida Atlantic on April 17. The Sarasota native was a big part of the UCF's 8-6 win Friday at Marshall when he tossed three scoreless frames in relief.

In the Rankings

In the latest national polls that came out Monday, the Knights stood firm at No. 13 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) rankings for the third-consecutive week. UCF also remained entrenched at No. 16 in both the Baseball America and USA Today/ESPN Top 25 coaches' polls while checking in at No. 19 according to Collegiate Baseball.

Four at 40

With the 13-6 win over Marshall Sunday afternoon, the Knights became just the third team in the nation to reach 40 wins in 2012. Kentucky (41-11), Florida State (40-11), UCF (40-12) and Indiana State (40-12) have all reached the plateau. It is the first time UCF hit the 40-win mark since 2005.
