ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Registration is now available for the 2019 Central Florida Volleyball Camps. UCF volleyball head coach Todd Dagenais and his staff will host seven unique camp experiences this summer.
All camps and clinics are open to any and all entrants regardless of skill level (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
POSITIONAL SKILLS CAMPS - July 13-14 - COMMUTER/RESIDENTIAL
This camp will allow players to have two full days of position specific instruction with our UCF coaches. This camp is suggested for athletes ages 10 to 18. The attacking camp works on transitioning off the net to a powerful approach with a multi‐directional arm swing, campers at this clinic can expect to learn every facet of attacking. The libero camp will place major emphasis on body posture, footwork, digging techniques, advanced floor skills, and ball handling techniques for serve receive and defense. The setter camp will feature technique-packed training sessions with an emphasis on hand position, body posture, footwork patterns, release, location, and decision making. Click here for more info.
COLLEGE PREP CAMP - July 16-17 - RESIDENTIAL
This is a one-of-a-kind camp experience designed to expose campers to the collegiate level with daily training systems used in an NCAA Division I and National Team programs. Campers will experience two days of intense, skill-specific training while staying in the UCF dorms. This camp is designed for experienced varsity level athletes and those looking to continue their volleyball career at the collegiate level. The college prep camp has limited spaces available. BONUS POSITIONAL DAY - July 18 - CAMP + MEALS
Whether a camper is staying for an extra day after the individual skills camps or coming a day early for the College Prep Camp, the special Bonus Positional Day is a great way to gain an entire day of position-based instruction. These clinics are also open for athletes looking to attend a single day camp and improve their positional skills. The position-specific clinics are suggested for athletes from age 10 to 18. ALL-SKILLS & ELITE ALL-SKILLS CAMPS - July 19-21 - COMMUTER/RESIDENTIAL
The all-skills camp is geared toward technical teaching of each of the six skills of volleyball. It is designed for younger players and those who have only been playing for a short period of time. Suggested for athletes ages 10 to 14. The elite all-skills camp is focused on each of the fundamentals of volleyball but taking it from a basic to a more advanced level. Designed for high school‐aged athletes or middle schoolers with a few years of experience. Suggested for athletes ages 15 to 18. Click here for more info.
COMPETITIVE TEAM CAMP - July 26-28 - COMMUTER/RESIDENTIAL
This team camp is an elite competition-based camp for advanced teams to start their seasons with high level match play. This team camp includes four days of intense competition, a how-to seminar for being recruited, team offense and defense concepts used at UCF and camp tournament with finals in front of the whole camp to simulate a championship atmosphere. This camp is designed for those teams who already have a strong grasp of their system and style of play and are ready to step on the floor ready to compete against other highly competitive teams. DEVELOPMENTAL TEAM CAMP - July 29-31 - COMMUTER/RESIDENTIAL
This team camp is rooted in individual and team development of skills and systems. Each team will have a UCF camp coach to lead the team through advanced team skills development as well as individual skills training. During evening sessions teams put their new skills to use in a tournament against other teams. This camp is a great way to start training, competing, and improving. Click here for more info.
Residential campers will receive all meals and supervised housing in UCF dorms. Commuter campers will receive meals in between sessions. Pizza, snacks and drinks are available for sale each night in the dorms. Every camper that signs up will receive a UCF Volleyball t-shirt.
Groups of six or more can receive a discount by contacting Camp Director T.J. Read. For campers participating in multiple camps, additional nights in the dorms are $75. Campers can also purchase a regulation size volleyball, mini volleyballs and camp t-shirts.
