ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The No. 33 UCF men’s tennis team will play two matches early this week as they look to get back on a roll late in the season. The Knights will play on Monday and Wednesday.

UCF has won seven of their last ten matches but dropped their last three to quality opponents. Despite losing three in a row, UCF has been competitive and played well in each match. They were edged 4-3 against No. 2 Wake Forest, 4-1 facing No. 4 Virginia, and 4-2 squaring off with No. 32 Texas Tech.

UCF will take on South Alabama on Monday at 2 p.m. The Jaguars come into the match having lost their last two matches on their Florida road trip, falling 4-3 to both USF and UNF. They still boast a record of 10-4 on the season. Before their two losses this weekend, South Alabama was riding a ten-match winning streak. Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol lead the way in the doubles segment for South Alabama, as they are ranked No. 19 in the nation.

Wednesday will see No. 23 Oklahoma State visit the Knights at 6 p.m. Oklahoma State is 13-5 on the season but just 2-4 on the road. They’ve won seven of their last eight matches, losing only to Tulsa in that stretch. Oklahoma State has just one ranked singles player as Artur Dubinski checks in at No. 85. They also boast a ranked doubles pair as Mathieu Scaglia and Maxim Tybar sit at No. 22.
