ORLANDO – A few current and incoming Knights on the UCF men’s golf team enjoyed success at tournaments this weekend, including incoming freshman Juan Delgado, who won the Dominican Republic National Championship.

Delgado recorded rounds of 74, 71, 69 and 72 for a total of 286 to win the title this past weekend.

Additionally, rising junior Colin Kresl placed second at the 102nd Florida State Golf Association Amateur Championship this past weekend, carding a three-under par 285 over four rounds of action.

Kresl shot 72, 68, 71, 74 on the weekend, but eventually fell to Ben Reichert in a four-way playoff on Sunday at the Loxahatchee Club in Jupiter, Florida.

As a sophomore with the Knights in 2018-19, Kresl competed in five events, finishing a season-best 12th at the FAU Invitational to help UCF secure the win.

Also in the field was incoming UCF freshman Jordan Sarhaddi, who placed 36th at eight-over par 296.
