MURRELLS INLET, S.C. (UCFKnights.com) – Senior Kyler Tate wrapped up his final round as a UCF Knight Wednesday afternoon at the NCAA Myrtle Beach Regional. This was Tate’s third Regional appearance in his three years at UCF.
Tate shot his best round of the tournament with a 68(-4) to finish with a 54-hole total of 217(+1). The senior brought everything he had in the final round posting five birdies and an eagle on 14 for an impressive third round.
The Winter Garden native shot one-under on the front nine for the third-straight day and shot three-under on the back, a big improvement from his first two rounds. Tate finished tied for 27th after moving up 23 spots from day two.
The senior finished even on par threes and four-under on par fives over the three rounds.
Tate ends his senior season with a 71.2 stroke average per round, the fourth best in program history.
Tate finishes his career at UCF with a scoring average of 72.38 over a span of 37 tournaments and 104 rounds. During his senior season, Kyler had five top-five finishes including three second place finishes after appearing in 11 tournaments.
