ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Seven Knights were among the more than 5,000 softball student-athletes from across seven different divisions that were tabbed as 2015-16 NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes.
The award, which is submitted by member coaches, is handed out to players who achieved a 3.50 grade point average or higher during the 2015-16 academic year.
Six Knights earned the laurel for the second consecutive year, while all seven also earned American Athletic Conference All-Academic distinction.
Senior Samantha McCloskey, who garnered First Team All-AAC honors in 2016, earned a 4.0 GPA during the spring semester.
