Fifteen Knights Earn American All-Academic Honors

ORLANDO, Fla. ( - The American Athletic Conference announced its annual academic honors on Wednesday and the UCF Softball was honored with a program-best 15 team members from the 2014 season earning AAC All-Academic Team accolades.

With 15 honorees, UCF has now had double-digit representation on an All-Academic team twice. In 2005, 12 Knights were named to the Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team.

To earn the award, each student-athlete must attain at least a 3.00 GPA for the academic year and complete a minimum of two consecutive semesters of academic work.

Classes start for the Knights on Aug. 18, when the Knights will begin their fall preparations.
