ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF volleyball team will host its final conference homestand when it welcomes UAB and Memphis to The Venue at UCF on Friday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. The Knights (12-14, 9-5) will honor head coach Todd Dagenais' first recruiting class at UCF with ceremonies following each match.

Friday night will be Parents Night as the team will honor the parents of its four senior athletes. Sunday's matinee will also serve as Senior Day when Meredith Murphy, Evija Vilde, Tory McCutcheon and Dani Harrison will honored for their hard work and effort put into the UCF program.

"There is not a single team in this league that we can't beat," Dagenais said. "It comes down to being fresh, being healthy, getting the right matchups, and then executing on game day. I have great confidence that we're going to head into this weekend and have great success and that it's going to set up for a good conference tournament run with ultimately the goal being to reach the NCAA Tournament."

Having already clinched a spot in the upcoming C-USA Tournament, the Black and Gold will look to improve its seeding when it battles the Blazers on Friday night. UAB topped UCF in a back-and-forth five setter in Birmingham on Oct. 14 and currently sit one game ahead of the Knights in the league standings.

After the tilt with the Blazers, the Knights will take on Memphis Sunday afternoon. The Tigers are currently eighth in the league and need to win to maintain their hold on the final spot in the tournament. UCF swept Memphis on Oct. 12 in one of its most balanced efforts of the season as seven players registered at least three kills.

Last weekend, UCF earned a split in C-USA play as it won at Houston, 3-1, for the first time in program history on Friday night. The Knights, however, had their five-match winning streak snapped on Sunday afternoon in a 3-0 loss to Rice.
