The American Championship Set

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The 2018 American Athletic Conference championship field is set. The UCF women’s soccer team earned the third seed in the tournament and will face sixth-seeded Temple in the opening round.

The Knights and the Owls will face off in a 4:30 p.m. matchup on Oct. 31 at Corbett Stadium. Top-seeded South Florida will host the entire 2018 tournament.

The American Digital Network will provide coverage of the Wednesday and Friday matches.

The American championship game will air live on ESPNU on Nov. 4 at 2 p.m., ET.. The winner of the championship match will earn the league's automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Tournament.

UCF earned its fifth top-three seed in the six-year tenure of the league. The Knights are the only team in the conference to be a top-three seed five times since the league’s inception in 2013.
