ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women’s soccer program continued its streak of academic excellence, earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 10th consecutive season.

UCF compiled a 3.402 grade-point average during the 2017-18 academic year. Eight Knights posted at least one 4.0 semester, with a trio – Morgan Ferrara, Adrienne Li, Vera Varis – turning in 4.0 GPAs for the entire year.

The Knights have earned the accolade each year dating back to 2009.

A total of 773 soccer teams (484 women, 289 men) posted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, earning the United Soccer Coaches - formerly known as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) - Team Academic Award for the 2017-18 academic year.

UCF was one of 191 schools with both the men’s and women’s programs earning the accolade.

The Knights return to action tonight at the UCF Soccer Complex, hosting ECU at 7 p.m. in an American Athletic Conference contest.
